I have a fascination regarding old telephone boxes, which are fast disappearing from the UK. This painting, a preliminary study, done in oils on prepared lining paper. Part of the fascination is that from these phone boxes, sometimes in rural, isolated places, gave people communication to virtually anywhere in the world, before digitization came along!
